Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)

AEB systems can detect when a vehicle is too close and automatically apply the brakes to avoid rear-end collisions. This is particularly effective in situations where drivers may be distracted, fatigued or unable to react fast enough.  Even if a collision cannot be completely avoided, AEB can help reduce the severity of the impact by slowing down the vehicle before the crash. This can minimize injuries and property damage. AEB can be particularly effective in protecting vulnerable road users, such as pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists, who may be difficult to see or avoid in time. At Zensomy, we develop highly accurate and robust perception and control algorithms tailored for such real-time safety critical systems. Unlike off-the-shelf solutions, the software stack from Zensomy can handle dynamic and dense road environments, even in countries like India.

Traffic Jam Assist (TJA)

What can be more stressful than driving in the so called “inch by inch” traffic? TJA systems can help in reducing the driverʼs workload by managing the vehicleʼs speed and distance in congested traffic, especially during commutes. Moreover, widespread adoption of such low-speed driver assistance systems could eventually smooth traffic flow by reducing the frequency and intensity of stop-and-go driving, potentially decreasing congestion in urban areas. But the effectiveness of such assistance systems depends majorly on how well the underlying algorithms can handle different traffic densities and driving patterns. Zensomy offers solutions that addresses these aspects by effectively handling unique challenges of chaotic and congested traffic, which often does not even follow lane discipline.
